Hair that behaves on a Tuesday, not just on the day
Cutting, colour and natural-hair care for every texture that walks in. Every first appointment begins with fifteen minutes in the chair, talking, before anybody picks up a pair of scissors.
What it costs
The price list, all of it
Prices are per service and include the wash, the finish and the consultation. Long or very dense hair is quoted in the chair before we start, never after.

You are booking a person, not a salon
Six stylists, each with their own book and their own hands. Ask for whoever you like — and if you are not sure, say what your hair does and we will put you with the right one.

Consultation first
Fifteen minutes of talking saves an afternoon of regret
Bring the photograph. Bring three if you have them. We will look at them with you, then look at what your hair is doing right now — its texture, its density, how it has been coloured before, how many minutes it is realistically getting on a weekday morning.
Sometimes the answer is the photograph. Sometimes it is a version of the photograph that will still look like itself in six weeks. Either way you will hear it before we start, and nothing happens that you have not agreed to.
Your first visit
What an appointment looks like
Plan for a little longer than the service alone. Colour and natural-hair appointments are the two that most often run over, and we would rather tell you that now.
The consultation
Fifteen minutes, free, no obligation. Bring photographs, and say how long you really spend on your hair in the morning.
The wash
At the basin, with whatever your hair needs rather than whatever is nearest. Scalp treatment if you want it.
The work
Cut dry for curls, wet for most straight styles. Whoever has your head will say which, and why, as they go.
The finish
Styled, and then shown how to do it yourself — including which two products matter and which four you do not need.

What people say afterwards
Marcia told me to wait six weeks before colouring and charged me nothing for the consultation. I have not been anywhere else since.
Danielle explained every pass and the heat setting she was using. It held for two weeks in August, which I did not believe was possible.
They quoted me in the chair for braids and the number at the desk was the same number. Every time.
