Every price includes the wash, the finish and the consultation. Hair below the shoulder or unusually dense is quoted in the chair before anything starts, so the number you hear is the number you pay.
Colour
Highlights, half head USD 120.00 Foils through the top section and around the face. Two and a half hours, toner included. Colour correction In the chair Quoted only after we have seen it in daylight. Some of these take two appointments and you will know that at the consultation. Full colour USD 95.00 Single process, roots to ends, with a bond treatment through the lengths. Patch test forty-eight hours before. Root touch-up USD 58.00 Up to an inch of regrowth. Anything more is quoted in the chair before we start.Cutting
Cut and finish USD 42.00 Dry-cut for curls and coils, wet for most straight styles. Includes the wash, the finish and the consultation. Restyle USD 65.00 For a real change of shape rather than a tidy. Ninety minutes, and if it will fight you every morning, that comes up before the gown goes on. Fringe trim In the chair Free between appointments for anybody who has had a cut here in the last eight weeks. Walk in. Children, under twelve USD 22.00 Quiet chair at the back, no hurry, and nobody minds if it takes three attempts.Natural hair
Silk press USD 78.00 Washed, deep-conditioned and pressed, with heat protection at every pass. Lasts about two weeks in this climate. Loc retwist USD 68.00 Retwisted and styled. Interlocking is the same price and takes longer, so book the later slot. Braids and cornrows In the chair Quoted on the length and the pattern, always before we begin. Bring a photograph. Deep conditioning USD 30.00 Under heat, twenty minutes. Added to any service for twenty when booked at the same time. Questions people ask at the desk
If yours is not here, telephone. Somebody at the desk would rather answer it now than have you sit down expecting something else.
Do you cut every hair type?
Yes, and that is the reason the salon exists. Coils, locs, relaxed, fine, colour-damaged and transitioning hair are all cut here by people trained on them. Nobody is sent elsewhere because of their texture.
Is the consultation really free?
Fifteen minutes, free, with no obligation to book anything. It happens before the gown goes on, so that a change of mind costs nothing but the fifteen minutes.
How are long or dense hair priced?
Quoted in the chair before we start, with the number agreed out loud. It is never added at the desk afterwards, and if we have misjudged the time that is our problem rather than yours.
Do I need a patch test for colour?
Forty-eight hours before, for any colour service including a root touch-up, every time. It takes two minutes at the desk and there is no charge for it.
Can I walk in?
Tuesday to Friday, often yes, if a chair is free. Saturdays you should book — we are usually full by Thursday and turning people away at the door is the part of the week nobody enjoys.
What if I do not like it?
Tell us before you leave the chair if you can, and within seven days if you cannot. We will put it right at no charge. That has happened eleven times in the last three years and every one of them was fixed.
